**After a balanced match, Cercle earned a point away to OH Leuven. Cercle were the most enterprising team for most of the game, but the home goalkeeper Cojocaru kept a clean sheet. At the other end, Majecki watched his defenders kept the home attack well under control.**

  
Cercle had to make a go of it “aan den Dreef” without the yellow-suspended Jesper Daland. He was replaced at the back by Marcelin. The other ten names on the team sheet were the same as they had been against Standard.  
Cercle immediately showed a high level of intensity on the mat in Leuven, but we could not produce more than a cracked shot from Kévin Denkey in the opening phase. At the other side it was a bit of a nervy moment when the speedy Nsingi fell to the ground after an involuntary foul by Marcelin, but referee Boucaut waved play on. Hugo Siquet showed his offensive quality with a great run and cross, which was headed just wide by Ayase Ueda. Charles Vanhoutte tried again from range, but his shot was too central and easily gathered by the goalkeeper. For the home team, Patris had the best shooting chance in the first half, but he shinned his attempt wide. Just before the break, Marcelin headed a corner kick wide of the goal.  
In the opening phase of the second half, Cercle sought the lead, with an immediate attempt from Kévin Denkey that Cojocaru had to push away for a corner kick. Shortly afterwards, Cercle put the best combination of the match into play. Ayase Ueda was able to shoot on goal from the left, but Cojocaru's fingertips prevented the opening goal. At the other end, Patris' shot was too wild. Patris was by far the most active man for the home team, but his crosses were made harmless by a careful Cercle defense, especially an interception by Thibo Somers after a quick counter from OHL, and deserved all the praise.  
After the hour mark, the home team became a bit more dominant, but Majecki continued to watch on with little to do. Cercle showed themselves a few more times with long shots by Ueda, but those didn't cause any problems for Cojocaru. With Tamari for the home team and Hotic for Cercle, both teams threw on some offensive weapons, but their fatigue was now visible and the football was therefore sloppy. Chances no longer were coming with regularity, and the game ended as it started: 0-0.
