Cercle wins friendly match against Deinze 2-1
Just like in the mutual practice game two weeks ago, the A-team was once again supplemented with some youngsters. Suffys, Zutterman, Vanackere, Scholaert and Sampers all started on the bench, but striker Wolf Ackx was in the starting line-up, forming a duo with Kévin Denkey. Cercle started well and had most of the ball possession. The young Ackx even had a chance to give Groen-Zwart an early lead, but his good run and dito shot hit the post.

Also worth mentioning: an energetic Velkovski on the left flank. The Bulgarian created a lot of danger in the attack and delivered a perfect cross to Kevin Denkey just after the halfway mark of the first period, 1-0. Cercle remained in control, but the visitors also played well. Some five minutes before half time Dansoko tried his luck from outside the sixteen. The Deinzes player's perfect curl landed in the top corner, goalkeeper Bruzzese had no chance. The score was 1-1 at the break.
In the second half, the game continued to play out well. Cercle went in search of the lead again, but Warleson also had a good reflex to keep the visitors from scoring on a couple of occasions. When the ball fell at the feet of Decostere after a Cercle corner kick, the right back shot at goal. Decostere's attempt landed at the feet of Figo Suffys who controlled the ball and fired it into goal. 2-1 for Cercle, also the final score.
