Jesper Daland: "We will build on the reaction in the second half"

Goalscorer Jesper Daland could only conclude that his goal came too late to get another result out of the fire. “It's always nice to score a goal, but in the little time left for us, we played too chaotically to get a chance. If we could have scored earlier, we might have had a point or even more. We also had plenty of chances in the second half, but not for the first time this season we didn't have efficiency with our opportunities. That's not just a problem for the attackers, but for the whole team."

“I have no explanation for the way we started the game. The contrast between the two side was very big compared to our most recent matches. The second half was much better. There, we showed the mentality and energy that characterizes our game. The match took a lot of energy and at the end I had some cramps. Last week I played 90 minutes twice with the Norwegian U-21s and I felt that at the end of the match. Traveling was also very hard on us this time. We played the last match in Azerbaijan on Tuesday evening and I only arrived in Bruges late on Wednesday evening.”
