While the players are enjoying a few days off this week, part of the technical staff has paid a visit to Monaco. Since Tuesday, Dominik Thalhammer (coach), Jimmy De Wulf & Miron Muslic (assistants), Stuart Metcalf (Head of Analysis), Eddie Lattimore (Head of Athletic Performance) and Carlos Avina (technical director) have been visiting and will be there until Friday. Here's an overview of their visit:
Dominik Thalhammer and his staff visit Monaco
After the 1-1 draw in the last match of the season against Antwerp, there were still a few days of training and individual tests to come, after which the players were given 10 days of leave. The players are expected back in Bruges for training next Monday.
The coaching staff was able to rest for a few days last week, but this week part of the staff is in Monaco to review the season and prepare for the next one. On Tuesday morning, the Groen-Zwart delegation arrived in Monaco, where several meetings were scheduled in the afternoon. On Wednesday morning, coach Thalhammer and co gave a training session to the reserves of Monaco, or the U23 team, followed by a presentation on Cercle Brugge. On Thursday and Friday, in addition to observing the training of the Monegasques' first team, various meetings have scheduled, before the group's return to Belgium on Friday evening.
