Kevin Denkey extends with Cercle until 2026!

Cercle Brugge and Kevin Denkey have signed an agreement for a contract extension for the attacker until June 2026. The news was announced in the Jan Breydel Stadium on Saturday evening, just before the kick-off of Cercle-OH Leuven.

Still only 21, Denkey has been playing for Cercle since January 2021, but especially this season he is breaking through completely. The Togolese international has already scored five times and provided five assists. Those performances have also earned him a place in the Team of the Week from newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws twice.

Kevin Denkey's contract originally ran until 2024, but now an agreement has been reached for an extension until 2026. "We are delighted to have Kevin with us longer," said technical director Carlos Avina. “Kevin has become a hugely important player for Cercle and we are convinced that there is much more to come.”

Kevin Denkey is also very happy with extended his stay with the Groen-Zwart: “I am very happy to be able to stay with Cercle. I have felt at home here from day one. The main thing now is to keep working hard.”

Congratulations, Kevin!
