More than 13200 viewers from 56 different countries watch the Cercle-KVO livestream!

The live stream of the Croky Cup match between Cercle Bruges and KV Oostende reached no fewer than 13260 unique viewers on Tuesday evening. In total, the stream was played 19,832 times and in 56 (!) different countries.

Since the regional derby in the Round of 16 of the Croky Cup was not televised by the rights holders, Cercle Brugge and KV Oostende took matters into their own hands to offer their supporters the match live. Via a live stream available on the website of both teams, a three-camera feed was brought to the living rooms of more than 13,000 fans. The roguish duo of Johnny Nierynck (ex-player and assistant trainer with Cercle and an ex-player for KVO) and Toni Obi (an ex-player with KVO) were on hand to provide commentary.

The stream was not only viewed in West Flanders, though: the stream was also viewed in Germany, France, the United States, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Indonesia. In total, football fans from 56 different countries watched the game. The peak followed just after Iké Ugbo's having made it 3-1, when there were 7147 viewers at the same time. It was a fantastic result after an equally fantastic collaboration with KV Oostende and Picstory, the production house behind Focus-WTV.

A heartfelt word of thanks also goes to our loyal partner Liantis who made the live stream of the competition possible!
